Ceramics Monthly Inspriation
A variety of Ceramics Monthly magazines are available for students to look through. Students are to take some time to look through the magazines and find a piece that they like. This exercise exposes students to the wide variety of clay work being currently produced and opens their eyes to some previously unrealized possibilities.
Students are to produce a work that directly relates to their chosen piece from Ceramics Monthly. Emphasis is put on making the piece their own and not just copying it.
Evaluation:
2 points -- degree of difficulty/appropriate for time allotted
2 points -- relates directly to the Ceramics Monthly piece
2 points -- changed enough to make it your own
4 points -- quality and workmanship
