Gesture Drawing
Gesture drawing is a way of quickly getting the general look and pose of a figure or object on paper. Gesture drawing loosens up the students and enables them to see the basic shapes of a person or object quickly. Gesture drawing is used by animators to quickly rough out the look of whatever they're animating.
Students are given instruction on basic human proportions and how to represent a human body with quick lines and simple geometric shapes. They then draw objects or people standing in the room from different angles. These drawings are VERY fast, only allowing a couple minutes for each.

This is an exercise so there are no points awarded for this project.
