Pierced Drawing
Students are to duplicate a photo or illustration of a face or figure. Common themes are Superheroes or movie stars from the 50's and 60's. Emphasis is on shading the drawing to give it value and three-dimentionality. After they finish the drawing students will cut out parts of the drawing and add colored paper to the cut out parts as a way of adding emphasis.
If a student wishes to use a grid to duplicate the image, instructions can be found by clicking here.
